New Zealand NZeTA for UK citizens
The NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) is Immigration New Zealand's online authorisation for visitors from visa-waiver countries, including the UK. You request it before you travel.
Do British passport holders need one?
Yes. NZeTA required. Up to 6 months per visit.
The official website is
immigration.govt.nz
Go to immigration.govt.nz ↗Check the address bar shows immigration.govt.nz before you enter passport or card details.
Avoid paying a lookalike website
The official fee is NZD 23 via app or NZD 17 via website (approx. £11 (app) or £8 (website)), plus the NZD 100 International Visitor Levy, paid at the same time. Lookalike websites fill in the same official form for you and add their own charge on top. Apply only at immigration.govt.nz.
- Search results and ads can show unofficial sites above the government's own. Use the link on this page, or type the address yourself.
- Compare the total you're asked to pay with the official fee on this page. If it's well above it, you are probably not on the government's website.
